Standard gain horn antennas are used as calibration devices that measure the gain of other antennas.
These antennas are made up of a combination of a Waveguide to Coax Adapter and Standard Gain Horn with Waveguide Input. It is a kind of simple combination but with great care and attention to create an antenna with accurate and suitable specs.

世界行動通訊大會 工研院聯手中華電信秀高軌衛星通訊

工研院研發「5G開放式架構NTN基站系統」,今年攜手中華電信參加世界行動通訊大會(MWC 2025),於MWC台灣館大展高軌衛星通訊。此外也展示「5G/6G先期專網智慧解決方案」,讓基地台不僅能降低功耗、提升效能、人體姿態辨識,還有GAI虛擬助理功能。
面對低軌衛星的強勢發展,再加上消費者的收視習慣改變,逐漸從衛星電視轉自網路串流,成為電信業經營高軌衛星的挑戰之一。衛星依據與地球的距離,有不同的使用功能。高軌衛星距離地面超過3萬5000公里,1顆衛星即可提供全球特定區域的長時間穩定信號,覆蓋範圍廣,且因與地球同步運行,適合於電信廣播及固定通訊服務等應用。若電信業能提升高軌衛星的多元運用,即可均衡布局多軌衛星商機。
工研院資訊與通訊研究所所長丁邦安表示,工研院成功研發符合具衛星追蹤技術之非地面網路基地台,克服了高軌衛星通訊高傳輸延遲與高度變動通訊環境的挑戰,順利整合中華電信商用高軌衛星,完成端到端視訊通話驗證。Horn antenna此技術可結合工研院近兩年於NTN低軌衛星通訊所成功驗證的端對端寬頻通訊,將可強化電信產業於高低軌衛星整合的多元應用。
