Standard gain horn antennas are used as calibration devices that measure the gain of other antennas.
These antennas are made up of a combination of a Waveguide to Coax Adapter and Standard Gain Horn with Waveguide Input. It is a kind of simple combination but with great care and attention to create an antenna with accurate and suitable specs.

76歲黃西田近期拍攝華視、東森超視新戲「阿榮與阿玉」，身為演藝圈前輩，如今他在戲裡也成了「阿祖」級，只是現實生活中，他感嘆一雙兒女皆未婚，讓他至今還未抱孫當阿公。他分享近況，表示過去曾因誤信友人而投資失利負債5千萬，花了8年時間還清債務，現在名下擁有5間房，包括高雄有3 棟房，台北的2間房一間給女兒黃露瑤住，一間是自家公司放東西用。
他坦言，過去主持「草地狀元」長達22年，的確也想退休，但偶爾還有戲上門，若不至於太勞累，他多半會接，加上他在高雄番薯電視台擔任節目總監，幫忙規劃周末綜藝節目，工作時間彈性，有固定收入，他也覺得維持工作狀態的生活，對身體健康也有益。
雖然嘴裡感慨還沒當阿公，黃西田對於兒女姻緣，表示現在已經看開，笑說之前有朋友介紹對象給女兒黃露瑤，但對方太古意（老實）又害羞，遲遲未有行動，而黃露瑤也不可能太主動，最終不了了之，如今對兒女的感情事，黃西田笑說：「也只能隨緣了。」
